For the past several weeks Oreo’s poop has been coming out like a string of pearls.  I have noticed that she has cut down on eating her timothy hay.  Does any one have a  suggestions on what I can do.

try a differen’t type of hay, they always like variety, try orcherd hay. Also you can try serving her hay differently. I know that Fern will only eat hay if it is served a different way. Also if you are really worried then you could feed her a small amount of hay in different periods throughout the day. For some reason the novelty of the hay makes it more desirable.

          Hope I helped.

I was reading other posts about the string of pearls and Oreo seems to doing that a lot.   Should I get he papaya pills.  If so where do I get them and how soon should I get them.  This has been going on for about a month it has not become worse but I am concerned.

Thank you I will try it.  I bought hay in bulk from a pet warehouse and it didn’t seem look like the Kaytee brand.  I went ot the pet store this weekend and I thought for sure she would just go crazy eating it and she didn’t.  I will try the orchard grass. What about the pills

She also has three boys that are almost 7 months old and she grooms every chance she gets and every one is molting

Well is it shedding season? If so then that is why you are seeing so much hair in her poop. What the papaya pills are supposed to do is break down the mucus that holds food together, not dissolve the hair. Therefor the paypaya pills would do nothing about the hair in his poop. The thing you could do that would really help is brush Oreo more often. You could also kind of pluck the hair out, (pull the loose hair out of your bunny’s coat) thats what I do to Fern, it works way better than brushing, but you are not pulling too hard, only just getting the dead hair out of your bunnies coat gently.

Edit: If you want to try the pills then you would have to get them online at the oxbow website, I have not seen them elsewhere, I think they sell them here on Binky bunny too.

last night while her and I were laying on the floor I started to the pull the hair.  How one little bunny have so much hair?  After I was done she was running around the house like a little nut.  I think she liked it.

                  Thank you

its usually because they are molting and so they poops get stuck together with hair they have licked off themselves, a good brush should sort it!

I agree that a good brushing will help prevent your rabbit from ingesting so much fur and lots and lots of hay (fiber) to help your bun pass it through.
