        Hi All!

Longtime reader, first time poster. I recently built our bunny Sassy a wooden playhouse in her crib and she absolutely loves it. She’s been daytime-sleeping now in the upper room which is mostly walled in (and therefore relatively dark). And she seems to enjoy from time to time the ceramic tiles for their coolness.

My question is whether I should be concerned about splinters from the plywood. I sanded down the platforms best I could, but maybe there is something I could cover the first and second floor with? How concerned should I be?

        Thanks!

What a cute playhouse! Great job!

If it’s sanded down then I wouldn’t worry about splinters. You could cover the levels with some fleece or carpet (if she doesn’t chew too much) if you want to give something soft with a bit more traction or a softer place to sleep.

That’s awesome!!!! Make sure to keep an eye out for chewing too. I know my bun would be constantly chewing that! But some buns are just not big chewers.

And I have to comment on how adorable it is that your bun has a wee little skateboard!!!!!
