This is going to sound so weird and gross but here goes: One of the bunnies got into the store of toilet paper we keep in the bathroom and peed on it. Not noticing the stain, I grabbed the soiled roll and hung it up for use. When I went to the bathroom I used it and only realised a little while later that it had bunny pee on it! I am now worried about getting some weird vaginal fungus. Am I overreacting?

I don’t think that you have anything to worry about. As long as there is no infection present- urine is actually sterile until it exits the body and comes into contact with bacteria that can grow. But a roll of TP does not sound like a high risk bacteria laden breeding ground. The floor is probably dirtier than a roll of TP that your bunny peed on- and my kittens play with the TP roll all the time- and that is not very sanitary- of course that never occured to me until NOW.           Thanks. LOL

Hmm, I don’t know. I think there are some bacterial infections that can be passed from rabbits to humans. If your rabbit is healthy though, I don’t think you should be too worried. I suppose I would just wash things off down there immediately afterward just to be safe.

Well it’s already been about a half hour but I’ll hop in the shower now

As an added piece of information the the urine stain was old and completely dry. I don’t think bacteria can grow in that situation.
