My bunny has never done this before in the 2 years we have had him. He is 100% litter boxed trained and not once has peed or pooped anywhere in my house she I free roam him. He has been out before for 3 hours and goes right to his pen where is litter box is when he has to go.

today he was laying next to me on a blanket on my couch and he peed. I immediately put him back in his pen. Thank goodness it was just the blanket and not my couch.  I’m calling this as an accident but if he continues I can’t let him free roam . I do a a large dog pen attached to his cage so I’m not concerned about him being caged because he isn’t.

could it be that he just spent 5 days last week at a pet resort because we went away? That was the first time he has been boarded that long. Or could it be now that he is getting lazy? Or is a territorial thing even though he is fixed?

i smelled my leather couch and didn’t smell anything thank goodness

any ideas on what might have caused this?

Did the blanket smell strongly of you? Bunnies like to pee on soft things, particularly soft things that smell strongly of people.
