I have two 1 year old rabbits both are fixed. one female named Sully (Grey angora lop mix) and one male named Beau (broken Mini Lop). We got Sully at 4 months old and Beau at 6-8 months old. They bonded well and have been litter box trained from the beginning with no issues. Now all of a sudden they are peeing everywhere!!! They appear healthy, eating, drinking and moving around like normal.
They seem to be interacting with each other like normal too…
The image below is of their cage right now. Before the peeing problem, we had an xpen attatched to the cage so they had a lot of room and they had free reign when we were home. I have tried restricting their space this week as recommended and they are still peeing all over the cage.
I have two smaller litter boxes, should I try removing the large box and putting in the two small boxes instead? Are my buns having issues with each other? There have been no changes in the house. I am pregnant but I havnt done anything to change their habitat.
I did also recently change the hay rack to something larger bc the one we had before was a tiny generic one from the pet store and they went through it super fast. I don’t see how they could be mad about more hay but it doesn’t hurt to mention it.
Help Please!
