I walked into my room and my bun Rosie was sitting in her play area and all the sudden she just rolled over on her back (kind of like a dog) I came closer to her and she even let me pet her. I really have no clue as to what this means because I have never seen it in any of my rabbit books or on any online websites. My rabbit only did it once and she seemed happy and calm, so I’m pretty sure she wasn’t in pain, but I wanted to know if this meant anything towards me. Thanks!

PS. She was eating/pooping regularly and everything.

From what I can get from you, that was a flop!!!! Bunnies flop when they are happy, tired or hot. As long as there are not any other symtoms, and it’s not too hot, you must have a happy bunny!!!

P.S. I watch your YouTube, you are great!!!

Thanks, but it wasn’t a flop. She was on her back, feet up in the air. She wasn’t on her side. I will attemp to find the picture I took.

Some people call them “dead bunny flops”. I google it, and found this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/furyandfrost/2281522060/

I’ve never seen my bunny doing it, I think it’s pretty uncommon!

Leopold will get his feet up in the air sometimes when he flops. Yes, he does look a bit dead. It can be disturbing. LOL

Not weird, just SUPER happy! We always called them super flops and took it as a sign that my buns were super happy! I don’t think I will start calling them dead bunny flops, too scary!

Omg my bunny did that I walked into the room he was in his cage lying on his back sleeping with legs in the air.
Thought he was dead for a moment, until he heard me, then he jumped up so fast

When my bunny Yohio did sth like that I too had to write here and ask, because it freaked me out. And people posted the cutest pics! Check out this thread: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/124690/Default.aspx

It seems happy bunnies act like they’re having seizures or sth.
