i am trying to transition my 2 month holland lop onto oxbows young rabbit pellets but he eats only the other pellets he was being fed before i got him. i am giving him 3/4 old pellets and 1/4 new pellets but he refuses to eat them, i have a limited supply of the old and would really love some tips on transitioning

I think the biggest tip is to persevere! Keep doing what you’re doing and chances are, they’ll start nibbling on the new ones and decide they like them. When I first made the switch from junior to adult pellets, the adult ones were completely ignored initially. Then they started going back to the adult pellets once they’d eaten the young ones and then they gobbled the lot up with much enthusiasm. It’s very much the waiting game If you run out of the original pellets, stick with the new ones but obviously start small. So if you’re giving 3/4 old pellets and 1/4 new and you run out, say tomorrow, just give the same 1/4 portion of the new. Yes their overall pellet amount will be less at first but they’ll be okay. It might even encourage them to gobble up the new
