So I’ve had my year old dwarf rabbit (male, neutered) for about 2 weeks now, and him and I have bonded great!
I’m home lots during the day, I do the cage cleans and all the feeding, etc.
My bunny will come sit by me and let me pet him, and comes and crawls on me when I’m on the couch.
He knows who my boyfriend is (my boyfriend and I live together, so its his bunny too), but him and my boyfriend have not bonded as much (my boyfriend works more, hasn’t given him treats, etc. and my bunny only lets him pet him on his terms)
Anyways, my question is, why does my bunny nip my boyfriend? As far as I know I wouldn’t consider it a bite, he hasn’t broken skin, but they come out of nowhere, and he also has never bitten me.
The first time we were watching TV and he nibbled my boyfriends foot, and the second time we were having dinner (sitting on the couch) and he jumped up and nipped at my boyfriends back. If my boyfriend goes to pet him he runs away.
Is this because my bun wants affection. Is it aggressive or dominant?
What should I do?
PS. I usually pay more attention to the bunny. Could he simply want more attention from my boyfriend too?
