I was wondering how long a rabbits memory is?  Does anyone know?

        Thanks!

Don’t really know but I can tell you they certainly remember what time they get fed! Edson races around like a mad man for his 5:30am pellets, the 4pm greens and the 10pm treat before bed!!! If you don’t stick to the schedule they let you know it!

I’m not too sure about memory, but I know they are darned smart I’m not surprised to think that they have a long memory, they certainly like to be adjusted and “set” in their ways. Also, they must have some good brains for memory when it comes to remembering the “escape routes” that they map out in case a predator arrives!

so here’s a weird thing… one of our volunteers can talk to the animals. She’s definitely for real and has been able to tell us all kinds of things about pets. Hareiette had some incident when she was living with the mean people who dumped her at the shelter involving a ceramic turtle. Apparently she got in big trouble over it. According to Beth, she still worries about it even though she’s been with us for close to 3 years now 🙁

I have read in a account that bunnies to remember at 8 weeks.

                  But I don’t think so.

My Aniko is from a breeder and this man has Aniko to let fall. She don’t want to ablifted. She is so afraid.

And she’s staying with me 3 years. And she’s still frightened.

I stayed at my parent’s home with Spockie when we first got to town. While there he became attached to them, formed daily routines and favorite spots. We were able to move out and lived in an apartment nearby for the next couple of years.

My parent’s didn’t believe he’d remember them. However, during hurricane seasons we would stay with them for a few days since they had good protection in a safer location. Well, as soon as he was let out, he would go to all of his favorite spots, and repeat his daily routine – in the AM he would run into my mother’s bedroom, let her pet him once, shoot under her bed, circle around it, and return to her hand.

I’ve used an animal communicator with a few of my rabbits and it seems like they do remember stuff – I’m not entirely certain though how the animal communication works if she actually “speaks” to them or how that works although I would love too. Seems like they remember the bad stuff for certain which I guess is the same for humans too – traumatic things.

                          Here’s a list from Penelope Smith’s website:

The lady who did mine for me no longer does it – I met her on one of my other rabbit lists.  I’d love to try another animal communicator too sometime.

Thanks Sarita!! I’m sooo excited. I contacted the one who is in Calgary, that’s decently close to me; To find out what she does/charges. I’m really interested in her talking to Rupert, and maybe my dog
