        Hi, everyone!

So recently it was my boyfriend’s birthday and as him, I, and the bunnies celebrated, I had a couple helium balloons (the foil kind with string).

Yulie became OBSESSED with playing with it. She would pull the string down and watch the balloon go up and down and make that distinct *noise* when a foil balloon hits the ceiling. She was having so much fun and was clearly so entertained, it made me sad to put it in the other room (I was scared of her chewing the ribbon if I let her play with it for too long).

Would it be safe to buy some more foil balloons and attach jute twine to them instead? I guess there is still the risk of the balloon coming down but obviously this would be an “as supervised toy” ?

Does anyone elses bunny have an obsession with these balloons? Or is Yulie just a weirdo?

That actually sounds pretty cute. My rabbit hates anything floating or moving in the air (as if it were a bird) but if you’re bunny liked it that is pretty neat.

Yes, I think the jute is a better idea than balloon ribbon. I also think you are right to ONLY use this as a supervised toy. The deflated balloon would be bad to chew on (in case she got hold of it) but I’d also worry about bunny getting tangled in the string around their neck or body. Best to be careful and keep a close eye.

Thank said, my rabbit likes dangling rope and strings, like the ones on my sweatshirt, so I think it would be okay with the right materials and absolute surveillance.

That is an awesome idea! And yes definately good as a supervised toy. I’m going to have to try that with my bun now
