        Hi Everyone –

My bunny just turned 1 year old. He is not neutered. He is a mini-rex.

He always comes up to the cage to greet me when I come in in the mornings to feed him and is friendly and sweet. Today, I noticed he was already laying down, which he doesn’t usually do unless he had just been running around (after I put him back in the cage) or relaxing towards the end of the day.

I had to leave for work, so I fed him and pet him a couple of times. I had my boyfriend check on him a few hours later during his lunch break and he was still laying down, hadn’t really touched his food or water. He had gotten up but as soon as he decided to get up he decided to lay back down right away. This is not like him.

He is pooping and peeing. As of yesterday I noticed he ate his food/hay. So i’m not sure what the sudden change in behavior is about.

Any ideas or tips? It worries me and I would be devastated if I didn’t take correct action.

        Thank you!

Hmm, I would check him out for a while and if he isn’t doing well by then, You should visit a vet

            Hi!

I would take him to the vet as it could be a lot of issues, he could have teeth issues, gut issues or he hurt himself and doesn’t want to move. My buns don’t move around when they are in pain. Also neutering him can save him from cancers such as testicular cancer

Yeah I agree with bunny house, neutering him is a good idea as well.
