Some bunnies love licking, but a lot of bunnies rarely, if ever, lick their humans. There’s no way to really make your bunny want to go up and lick you besides gaining their trust and hoping that you have a really sweet rabbit. If you really want to feel bunny licks, you could always just smear a little honey or fruit juice on your hand and offer it to your rabbit.

I think some bunnies are naturally kissers and others aren’t. Also, some bunnies like to kiss some people and not others. Otto will mostly only kiss my husband, though he will kiss me if I show him a treat first, then ask for the kiss. I wish he’d do it without the bribe, but oh well! The first time we got him to do this, we held a treat in front of his nose, then pulled it away quickly and put our own nose right in his face and he licked! We were pretty surprised because we weren’t sure if he would bite (we hadn’t had him very long) but it soon turned into a favorite game. He loves giving kisses now (if you have food for him especially). He’s never licked other parts of our bodies like other bunnies though – no foot or hand licking – just noses.
Hannah has never licked, ever. We’ve only had her for 5 months, so she may lick as she gets more comfortable with us, but she’s a pretty dominant bunny so I doubt she’ll ever feel the need to kiss us. We’re the ones who should be grooming her, in her opinion.
Many bunnies also have a lick reflex. I haven’t found it on Hannah, but we can rub/scratch Otto’s bum, above his tail, and he’ll start licking anything around him, including people. He’s still more likely to lick my husband than me, and when I do it he’ll usually just lick himself or furniture rather than having to lick me. Haha. But finding the lick reflex can be a good way to get your bunny started licking you, and then you can praise him and he might decide licking you is actually fun.

I like rabbit kisses. Very sweet, and dries fast. No cardboard tongue too or drool

Hehe, sometimes, I don’t have to pet Chacha. She just kisses me!
She will sometimes lick my nose and cheeks and lips. No forehead because my bangs are long. I will put my face in front of her and she will willingly kiss me. She even grooms the blankets that smell like me, lol. Lizzie, now when Chacha kisses me, I think of what you said. I said to Chacha last night “You are making sure mommy smells like a lagomorph!! LIKE YOU!!!”
I wonder how they do it!
