Trying to build better suited levels for his cage

I’ve seen homemade platforms made from two-ply plywood with knuts and bolts. What is the suggested width of a bunny platform for a dwarf breed/holland lop? Additionally, how many inches apart would you suggest each level be? He seems to be better at jumping DOWN than jumping UP

Thanks for the input from fellow power tool loving craftitarians! <3

          Hey SeaTurtleSwims!
So for the platform, is it going to be just a place to hop onto and look around or is it going to be an actual second level? By second level I don’t mean take-up-the-whole-top-of-the-cage type thing, maybe just a platform that extends across half of the width of the actual hutch. For a regular little lookout platform, I’d make it the length of your hutch with a width of about 1 foot.

          Hope this helps! (I know it’s a bit confusing….sorry!)

Power Tools – ohhhhhh yes !!

Erm difficult really as I have a monster bun. Differs with each bun probably.
The width of the platform could be the length of your bun so he can choose which way to lay down on it.
The height of each level? Well, mine jumps up comfortably to head height when in persicope position (!)…. but she won’t be able to do that when she’s older…. so probably you could aim for half her body length when she’s in persicope position, or a slope could be good too….?

Thanks guys that’s great! Yes, I should have specified, Nature Nerd- these are only platforms rather than entire levels. So about a foot wide and spaced apart in height about half of his body length. That sounds perfect! Now to do some invasive bunny height measuring Thank you!!
