I noticed that sometimes when my bun is eating her greens, her fur gets all “fluffed up” (kind of like a dog or cat when they are angry and their fur stands up on their backs).  Her fur stands up on her back and on her head.  She does it mostly when eating her greens and occasionally while hanging out in her litter box.  Anybody have a bun who also does this or knows why?

I think that she’s just trying to make herself look bigger and “scary” to protect her food. Kinda like food aggression in dogs. Does she bite or nip you when you touch her food? If she’s rescued she might have a past of people taking her food away or not giving her enough. As long as she is eating good and not showing any behavioral issues that should be nothing to worry about.

She shows no signs of aggression during eating.
