I read a while back that buns flop over on their sides and sleep like that because they are so happy. Is it really because they’re super happy? I thought that was what binkies were for
Dallas flops over like that all the time. The first time he did it I almost had a heart attack, I thought he was dead! But now he does it every day so I don’t get worried like that(though I’ll admit, whenever I see him doing it, I make sure he’s breathing lol)

How often do your buns do it?

i think boston does it a lot more than i see. i prolly catch a good flop maybe once a week. boston is more of a stretcher. she stretches out into her comfy zone.

I think binkying is excited happy and flopping is comfortable and relaxed happy.  Drue sleeps on his side daily but most times he just kind of melts into it.

Tucker only does it every so often but when she does she does the full blown FLOP over.

I think the deal with flops is that the longer it takes a bunny to get up from a resting position the more relaxed they are – because they are not worried about having to run away. Therefore a bunny that will sleep on its side is very relaxed!

That being said, Kay flops a lot, yet I have never seen Winston flop – but, I think it is just not his thing; not that he is not relaxed.
