I saw lots of pet costumes at petco and petsmart around halloween and I kept wondering if it would be at all possible to get my bunnies into a costume long enough to take a picture without making them too upset 0_0 Have any of you tried this or thought about it? I want to get a skirt for Vicky because she’s always trying to get Brambles’ attention and get him to give her kisses…

I know my rabbits would not tolerate this LOL. I wouldn’t do it anyway – I think it’s fine for dogs and maybe they tolerate it but I really think rabbits are already pretty and interesting to look at without all that dressing up. I mean heck, people are always dressing up their pets or themselves to look like rabbits so I see no need to spoil an already good and desirable rabbit with all that glitter. After all what could be cuter than a real bunnies ears and a beautiful cotton tail and those stunning eyes. Wish I was so lucky to look so naturally good :~)

I mean lots of the smaller dog and cat ones would easily fit a bunny… and there was the most hilarious lobster costume…

It’s not that rabbits aren’t cute enough already, it’s just really funny when pets where clothes/costumes:

              LOL

But yeah, Vicky will hardly tolerate her harness and leash without trying to chew it off -_-

Well neither the cat or dog look very happy in this picture LOL. It’s probably a good way to piss off your pet :~) I’m guilty too though of enjoying seeing dogs in costumes – some of them do seem good-natured about it. I do like Gravehearted’s picture of her rabbit in costume too.

Oh yeah! I forgot about gravehearted’s pic…that made me lol when I saw it.

On a related note, I plan on taking "IHOP" photos of my bunnies ASAP…

This was popularized, of course, by Oolong the rabbit

hee hee hee… it does provide us with a laugh at their expense doesn’t it?  i think they KNOW it too… based on the looks on some of those faces!  too funny.  i had a good laugh at my dog once when he wiped out on some ice (i knew he wasnt hurt) and then when i walked over the spot i wiped out myself.  i imagined the dog was looking at me thinking…’karma’s a *bleep* huh?’
