        Hi everyone,

I’m new here. My name is Sarah and I have just bought two male lionhead rabbits about a week ago. They’re gorgeous and I love them both so much. I have named them Rocky and Rolo due to their rock n roll manes.

My question Roxky prefers to be sitting on my chest to be petted/groomed and every time I move him he just jumps back up again. Is this normal behaviour for a rabbit so young that I’ve not had for long????

          Hi Sarah, welcome to Binkybunny

How old are they? If they are young, they will have to be separated immediately and both will have to be neutered once they are older so that you can go through the proper bonding process with them properly. Baby bunnies will not bond and fights may break out anytime once their hormones kick in, and you would not want that to happen. Also, baby bunnies are notoriously hard to sex and one or both of your male rabbits may end up to be female and you would really want to avoid potential unwanted litters.

To answer your question, baby bunnies as a general rule don’t mind being picked up or cuddled by anyone at all. Their instincts have not kicked in at such a young age, but when they grow a bit older (about 3-6 months in), they will most likely start to kick and struggle if you try to pick them up/cuddle them.
