Hi! So I have a male bunny, he’s 8 months old and we are super bonded. We are so close and cuddle every night. We have a daily routine and he follows me around like a puppy. I’m going to be getting another bunny within a few weeks and bonding them. What I’m wondering is, once he’s bonded to the new bunny will he be less bonded to me? Will out relationship change once he’s bonded? I worry that with a bunny companion he’ll be less exciting by spending time with me. Anyone with experience here? Thanks!

I’m less experienced with this than most – my bond with my bun didnt break at all, now I have 2 bunnies that cover me in kisses every night at cuddle time They still love to play with me, but my bunny jumping training has been lax since I got the male. I was hoping my female would lick me LESS with a friend but, no, now I just have 2 bunnies who lick me. I have accepted my fate.

My Bertha’s personality sounds a lot like yours, and our relationship has never changed when she’s been bonded. She still loves our cuddle time and follows me around.

So I wouldn’t worry about that at all! I think with bunnies they will take all the love they can get, and can bond with groups (vs. birds, which tend to pair up).
