I’ve had my rabbits for about 3 months. They are both 2 years old and they have been pals since they were 6 months old. They have their own bunny room in the house where they can run eat and play. Usually when I get home from work Bob will come and great me and I will give them both treats. I came home today to find Lola super happy to see me and bob ignored me. This concerns me greatly because when I revealed the snacks bob wanted no part of it. He has isolated himself away from me. He nibbled a bit on his lettuce and then turned away. He is sitting in a loaf position and I am concerned that he is sick or hurt. I can’t seem to get him to come near me. I scheduled an apt with the vet for tomorrow morning but I am really concerned for him. This isn’t his usual self. He is very social and loving. Any advice?

It is worrying when bunnies aren’t eating! Is he pooping? I would clean out the litter trays so you can monitor whether he’s pooping, although its always trickier when you have two bonded bunnies.

He might have gas, in which case you can give him a tummy massage, or some baby gas drops.

You can also encourage him to eat by hand feeding him veg and hay, and making sure he’s getting water. Will he eat treats?
You might need to syringe feed him water at least, and possibly a mush made from water and pellets (unless you have critical care, which is better). Hopefully someone else can give more advice on when you should start syringe feeding,
