Minty is 6 months old. I had a sign outside of bunny’s hutch on the second story (which is inside her bedroom) attached via 2x 25cm sellotape strips.

Today I saw the sign in 2 large pieces and no sellotape. She must have reached up on her hind legs and scratched at the sign.

My bunny eats paper. She is unspayed – her spay is this week.

Should I be worried about the sello tape? the strips are about 1cm, clear wide, and 25cm long each. She is going to vet this week, but should I prioritise it and take her today or what?

Poos and pees and appetite all fine.

Wow if she ate 25cm worth of tape then that sounds like a lot. How long has it been since she ate it? Continue to monitor and see if she is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing normally. I don’t think tape gets digested so keep a lookout for small pieces of it in her poop as well. If you see it then it means she’s passing the tape out, which is a good sign.

If she shows any signs of weird behaviour (hunching, less active, loud teeth grinding) or stops eating/drinking/pooping, then bring her to a vet immediately.

Thanks … it was actually 2x25cm … so ~50cm. That does sound like a lot. I hope it all comes out.

She seems totally fine and has a good appetite and good poos.

I will probably take her to vet tomorrow in any case for her pre spay appointment and ear issues and tell the vet about the sellotape.

That is a lot of tape. Silly bunny! It’s a good sign that she is eating and pooping well so chances are she’ll be absolutely fine. Just keep a close eye and keep encouraging hay consumption. If need be, cut out treats and cut down on the pellets for a couple of days to get her to eat more hay as that will help her tummy.

Thank you all. She’s fine … bunny flops … binkies … zoomies, poos, good appetite …

My radar for her crazy eating has gone way down now.
