This is one of those moments where you beat yourself up for leaving your art supplies out. I have been cleaning my room recently and i have a bucket of clay, I guess clay had fallen out of it and I had not noticed, and of course it went into the hiding place for my bunnies. Yesterday I posted about my rabbits poop being a grey tan white color, their poops have return back to normal, but I still couldn’t figure out what had happened. Well this morning, I let Bunnie out to go play and she was nibbling on something really loudly. I thought it was my baseboard so I went to check, but it was a piece of clay. I have no idea how much she ate, she did not eat a lot this morning because I found it right as she started, but I’m clueless on what to do.

Do I wait and see how it goes through her stomach? Is this toxic to her? It’s air dry clay, so it was already hard because she started eating it.

My first instinct would be to suggest lots and lots of water. And hay to move the dissolved stuff along her gut.

I have no idea if the clay is toxic… if so, you might want to call her vet for a phone consultation and see what the doc advises.

Hope all is well… if the clay is not toxic but can be thinned easily with water, it should just go through her (hence the more normal poops). Get her some really wet greens if she’s not a big water drinker.
