        My 14 week old females urine seems to be a dark browny redy colour is this normal? They males just seems to be clear, like drys white on the wooden hutch. Should i be worried about the female?

          Rabbit pee comes in a variety of colors. The colors as a rule come from plant pigments. The white you see in the males’ pee is calcium, which in rabbits are excreted in the urine. Both reddish pee and white chalky residue is normal for rabbits.

          If you want to make sure the red pee doesnt contain blood, you can drop a few drops of peroxide on it. If there’s blood present, it will foam, if there’s no blood, no foam. Forum moderator Jerseygirl has tested this test with both bloody pee and plant pigmented pee, and it works.
