So my two bunnies are nine months old, fixed, and bonded. They were totally litter box trained until maybe a month or less ago they just stopped using it totally. Today, I came home, the bunnies were their usual playful selves; they followed me around, and attacked me with kisses when I sat down. I was doing some cleaning, and out of nowhere while I was on the ground cleaning something, my bun Eve just lunged at me with her claws for no reason. Then she kissed me and went back to laying down. It was hard enough that there are scratch marks where she lunged. Then, I offered the buns treats a bit later. Eve rushed as fast as she couldn’t and didn’t even get the treat out of my hand– she just bit my hand as hard as she could and drew blood. A few minutes later, I tried offering treats again to lure them out from under the bed so I could clean under there, and Theo rushed up and bit me. What is happening? Nothing has changed for them except for a couple weeks I wasn’t home as often, but it’s been back to normal for over a week. Maybe the only other thing that’s changed is that I’ve been handling newborn bunnies, but would that cause them to do that?
