We recently got two rabbits from an orchard that had been kept together in the same hutch with three other siblings. Pretty much instantly after we got them home one started chasing and nipping the other. They have a big hutch and one part is wire, the other enclosed. Its very clearly a territory thing since Truffles (the biter) wants Bunnicula (the bites) to stay in the enclosed area. Its gotten bad enough that Bunnicula has some.missing fur and wounds. What I don’t understand is this: they do this, and then other times they’re both happily laying in the same part of the cage like nothing happened. Truffles will lick Bunnicula, and they can eat at the same time, no issue. I have been taking Truffles out and letting Bunnicula get her scent all over the other part of the cage. I don’t know what to do. Having to give one away would kill.me but I don’t want Bunnicula getting hurt. I just don’t know if they’ll get better or not or what to do.
