I just became a bunny mom in April. This is my first experience of bunny parenting during extremely (for Washington) hot weather. My bunny usually drinks a half of a large bottle per 24 hour period. It has been 88 for a week now and although I give him a bottle and a cup during hot weather, I’m not seeing any significant amounts of water disappearing from his bottle or cup. I also give him about a cup of mixed veggies in the morning. He seems normal, but I’ve heard they can get dehydrated in hot weather. He is a 4 year old neutered lop ear named Milo. Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

pour luke warm water over his back, he will cool down from that and he will lick the water off. I use a watering can but a spray gun, the kind used for watering plants on a mist setting can be used too. it needs to be luke warm not cold and gentle so it doesnt sting or scare. he wont like it at first, but my buns soon get used to it, avoid the face, ears and near the tail!

Mine have chicory or celery all day. They are very high with water content and the proof that they are not underhydrayed is that they still pee often.
Half a big bottle per normal day seems quite a lot…
