Well, I took apart what I had done so far because I’m now building it off of the bunnycondo.com diagrams. I had my boyfriend’s dad help me with cutting the wood out, so I have 4 levels now about 42″ wide. I went to home depot to get better 1 1/4″ dowel rods, and cut those as well. I have a drill to put notches or holes in them for zip ties and the NIC wire to hold them from possibly sliding. I also picked out these beautiful vinyl tiles that have good traction on them, and they look and feel like rough stone. They have pretty copper and blue hues in the “rock” pattern. I picked the roughest tiles for the best traction ($50 for the equivalent of 24 12x12in tiles). The tiles don’t have sticky all on the bottom so I have to go out and get some proper glue! It’s some easy installation design lol. Built the frame of my condo today, now all I have to do is put the NIC sides on the base and mark out holes to drill for zip ties to secure. It should be really close to being done or finished tomorrow! I redesigned it like on rabbitcondo.com to have the entire front end collapse open for easy cleaning. I’m lining the whole thing with grass mats and securing them with all natural twine. I have 10 coming in the mail tomorrow. They’re $2.99/each on amazon and free shipping for me.
Also I got Franz’s new bunny walking vest in the mail, it looks really good compared to the stupid cat harness. I can’t wait to take him outside again! I also took a cute “family” picture of myself, Michael (boyfriend) and Franz in our costumes. So cute! Going to upload them now
I took a pic of the tile for his flooring; so pretty! :
(“scary surgeon” pic removed
lol)
