We’ve got brushing the back and sides (and backside!) down pat but how do you groom bunny’s belly?  We get the rest of the bunny during salad time, but haven’t figured out how to do the underneath without trancing.  Two of ours are shedding like crazy right now (thought we were done with Spring molt?). Marlee seems to have longer and thicker fur and can’t go a day without brushing (ever) or she hops around in a cloud of fur shed.  Their beds can be covered in fur in a day, so we’re thinking it’s fur from their undersides that need brushing.  Suggestions please?

P.S.  I just looked down and thought I had scratches all over my new phone.  It’s not scratches, it’s bunny fur!

I can’t brush the under of my bun either. I try to as he begs for years and is up on his hind hocks but then he runs. He too had started shedding like crazy. I see fur flying around every time he moves. My pants look like snow daily. A lint brush is my new favorite toy.

Ha ha ha ha ha JR – everything in our house looks like it’s scratched, dam bunny fluff! LOL!
Sorry to say, we can’t touch Henry’s tummy either. Having tried for months to touch/rub his (CUTE) butt, was surprised that in the last few weeks he actually lets us now – wow! (and is it ok to be a little excited about it?) Lol…..
Unless Keiko and the m&m’s let you hold them willingly (yer right!) I doubt tummy brushes will happen without trancing.
I am curious to see if other BBer’s have any suggestions for you – then I can pinch the ideas too!

Well, it’s a good way to lose a finger.

                    Oh well, I was hoping . . .!

                    Love it LBJ!

I can actually stick my hand under each of them now and rub their bellies for a little bit — until they think “oh, she might pick me up!” and then they run.

AH – its ok to get excited about touching your bunny’s butt. Wait, that didn’t come out right . . .!

When my buns are molting, I dampen my hands slightly and run my hands under their belly and around their front legs to get the loose fur chunks. This only works when I have them sitting on the table for grooming. There is no way I could ever brush under their bellies.

LPT, I’ll have to try that. Thanks.
