        Hi all,

As some of you may know from my stasis thread – I had to split Luna and Atlas up after she bit his ear, I THINK probably due to feeling unwell pre-stasis .

My question is – is it worth trying to rebond them now or should I just wait for my trio? I don’t think I can just put them back together, they’ve been separated for nearly a week, so it would require at least a little re-bonding, and knowing Luna, probably a lot. I’m also worried that i’m out of neutral space in my flat, since I used the bathroom to bond them initially, and they’ve had free roam of it since then.

Nimbus is due to be neutered at the beginning of Feb, so I could start trio bonding sessions in early March, and use this time to swap them all and get them both used to Nimbus’s scents. I was unwilling to do that while Luna and Atlas were together, as I didn’t want Luna to take out her anger at Nimbus smells on Atlas.

So as you can see, I’m leaning towards keeping them all separate for a bit longer, but if you think that would be detrimental to Luna and Atlas then I’m also happy to try some rebonding

I’m no expert by any means, but I think your plan makes sense. Things could be worse if she took out the new bunny aggression on Atlas.

I just have to say, I’m so sorry that happened! I know you put so much effort into their bond!

Thanks BunNoob. I suspect I’m also partly to blame, for bringing Nimbus into the house . He probably made their bond more wobbly, so something like an illness that may have not affected them before became a bigger deal.

I just really hope this trio works out

Based on my previous experience, time seems to be the key for Luna, and both the boys are pretty chilled out, and also half the size of her

I didn’t even think of that! That makes so much sense. Nimbus causing trouble in paradise, tsk tsk tsk!

I hope someone else with more experience can chime in and help ya out! To me, your logic makes sense- but I’ve never had a bonded pair. And trio obviously comes with its own issues. You know what they say, threes a crowd

I agree with BN. You’re planning to make a trio, so it almost seems pointless to put the two of them through rebonding stress. It’ll also give Luna time to make a good recovery and settle down some. But like BN: I don’t have a bonded pair (hopefully yet!). I know Mikey used to have a trio, maybe he’ll chime in.
Anyways, good luck with whichever you decide to choose! PS. love your insta <3

Thirding that it sounds best to wait Everyone would get a nice little break. Your idea of prebonding while waiting is perfect and should certainly help out when you start to bond the three of them together. If your worried about prebonding aggression since Nimbus will be very new to them, you can get each of them a stuffed bun and swap them around once or twice a week, along with normal item swapping once a day. My three didnt care about the stuffy tactic, but I know a few people who used it to help out with prebonding trios and it helped them.

I also think waiting for the trio makes the most sense!

Great, I’m glad we’re all in agreement

Nimbus is definitely ready for neutering… there’s been lots of honking.

Thanks for the stuffy idea Mikey. Nimbus and Atlas actually already have them as they like them, but Luna doesn’t cos she’s always been disinterested. So I’ll invest in a third (/dig one out of my childhood toy box) and start swapping!

It’s as ridiculous as it sounds. I need to weigh him and see if we’ve got past 800 grams yet

Thanks Garfy. I know this sounds ridiculous, but if I’ve just posted a new photo (which I have) notifications about new followers tend to get lost, so send me a message if you have a bun account to be followed back

So I now have Luna living the free-range life in the kitchen, and the boys are living next door to each other, with no aggression through bars

I’m going to start the litter tray swapping now that Luna has fully recovered from her stasis episode.

They’re also all getting individual time out to run around the living room (swapping them every half hour), so hopefully everyone’s scents are all over the room. There are poops EVERYWHERE, but other than that, it’s all going fine.

Although gross, poops everywhere in their shared room is really good When it comes to bonding them in the room, itll go easier since they all have their scents around.
