Hey All,
I have an appointment with the Vet tomorrow with a few of my critters, one in particular is Bo my older standard rex male. I had written about Bo recent illness and troubles that he overcame in another thread a while back, if anyone may recall. Anyways, when Bo was sick with the obstruction, on one occassion I heard him breathing funny, as if he had congestion in his chest. It lasted a whole couple hours, never heard it again untill recently.
Bo is 100% himself, very active, loves food and playing, nothing has changed but more often now on and off I can here this… I want to say ‘gurgling’ type sound when he breaths but that’s not realy right. I would think he had a bad cold the way it sounds, but he is otherwise healthy.
My one thought is pasturella in his lungs (which he was X-Rayed for when he had his health issues, came up clean), as one of his more recent companion bunnies is a carrier. I’ve only had one other bunny get the Pasturella from PitStop (the carrier), and she was a very old, and not of great health unspayed holland lop, other then that no one else has showed signs.
Tomrrows visit will be Bo & PitStop plus my Doggy. I notice PiStops eyes have become ‘gunky’ more often, specially when he’s outside or eating so he will be looked over again as well.
Anyone have any ideas on the breathing thing I can run past the Vet?
I just hope it’s like that when we get there, as it’s hit and miss when u can hear it.
