Ok both my bunnies are very stand offish.  Bugz because of his upbringing and Anya sort of went from suffering us to hating us overnight.

The other day at my local petshop they gave me a bag of Nibble Os for rabbits.  never heard of them or tried them and as both my rabbits are health nuts figured the chances of them eating them are slim.  Well nibble Os are gods gift to rabbits in fact we will leap over great thing to get them from me.  Both will now take the treat from my hand and while eating them will allow me some light patting with is great!  Then tonight I was russling the bag to get their attention and out of no where Anya is on my lap!  Did not know she could jump that high!  Seem like this is the treat for them!

Awww, yay! My bun is the same way for dried papaya – I know I’m totally luring him onto my lap, but it feels so good when he’s there anyway 😉

Yay! Hand feeding is a great way to earn your rabbit’s trust, so I think this well help a lot. What are Nibble O’s? I have never heard of them before. My bunnies favorite treat is banana, or raisins, or craisins. They will stand on me, or on each other, or climb up the side of their cage for those

That’s great. Hand feeding is a great way to get them to like you. I steal bunny kisses by putting pieces of apple between my lips so my buns have to get them from me by kssing me sad I know but it’s like that song “I always have to steal my kisses from you”

I have tried rasins and banana and carrot and they are not intrested so finally finding something that i can use as a treat is great!

Sometimes i does take a couple attempts to feed them stuff before they decide its nommy… Monkey refused raisins the first 3 times I gave them to her… she dances for them now. Try the other stuff another time or 2… not sure what the Nibble O’s are made of, but most pet store treats aren’t good for buns.

Nibble Os are made of Ground maize and Ground Lucerne so I figured it was ok. it’s also RSPCA product so I thougyh it would be good.

Otto will always lick hubby’s nose, but I have to bribe him with food to get him to like mine  The worst is when he just touches his mouth to my nose, like he can’t bear to lick me but hopes just touching my nose will be good enough for the treat.

I still give my buns a daily papaya treat to lure them into my lap! It works very well to gain their trust.
I think I have seen those Nibble Os at my local shelter. If they are what I’m thinking of – they are a good treat!
