Boston ate gum!

possibly 2 or 3 pieces including wrappers….she dug it out of my purse and i found it in her bunny maze…she ate a good chunk of the cardboard it comes in too….

should i be concerned? what can i do?

she is eating hay fine now and drinking…so seems ok that way…

Oh no – Little Sneak! Well I guess there’s not much you can do but ensure she has plenty of fibre and monitor, moniter, moniter! Might be an idea to up end the maze once in a while and see what else appears. Sounds like a teenagers retreat!

Oh, this has happened to members bunnies before. Though I am not sure about them eating three pieces. This has been the common advice in this situation:

Monitor closely to make sure she continues to eat and poop.  Just be sure to have some smithecone just in case she develops gas.

If you have a rabbit-savvy vet, call them in the morning to get their advice just to be safe.

Haha, yes, Frankie has a problem with getting into purses. I think he stole it from my mom or a friend (I can’t chew gum). He ate a heck of a lot of  gum (and wrapper) and was fine. I would just keep keep an eye on the eating and pooping habits in the meantime and make sure she’s getting lots of hay to move it along, but Boston will hopefully be fine too

And no, we can skip the jokes about blowing bubbles out of her butt!

haha I totally pictured a little kid sneaking cookies into her/his bedroom! Naughty little girl! Yes, she seems fine today…ate tons of hay so we should be okay….

Haha, yeah whenever somebunny eats something weird it always gets referred to Frankie somehow! Cough drops, gum, chocolate, candy, plants, granola bars… he’s a connoisseur!

Thank the gods that Pepper seems to have a cast-iron tummy with all the things she gets into.  She’s particularly fond of candles – even the unscented kind!  She got up on the dresser last week and did some pretty extensive damage to a pillar.  But she’s pooping and acting just fine.  She’s also nibbled soap, vinyl notebooks, book bindings, etc.

Haha, yeah Frankie loves eating candles too, scented or not. Our candles all look pretty pathetic now. He’ll even jump onto shelves for ones that are “out of his reach” haha
