I have a male, almost year old rabbit. He has a tall playpen that I use as his cage. It works well but lately, he has been hopping over it! (Even though I put a blanket over, that doesn’t stop him!) I think that he escapes because he is bored. I think that if he had more toys, he wouldn’t escape. BUT… he doesn’t like any toys that I give him! I have tried to give him toys like things to chew on, things that make noise, even a bird toy once! He doesn’t like anything! The only toy he likes I a carrot chew, but he demolishes it really quickly and I discovered that it has glue on the inside so I don’t want to give it back to him. Any ideas???

Have you tried buying a maze for him? I just bought one and my bun seems to LOVE it! Maybe a maze placed in the playpen can keep him occupied? Sometimes simple toys such as toilet paper rolls u cut up can be lots of fun for them as well!

One of my Buns doesn’t seem to care for chew toys much or he is very selective. To keep him entertained I picked up some toddle stack cups and put a few kibbles inbetween each one. He had to learn how to pull each cup out to get to it. Also a wooden treasure box from a craft store that he had to learn how to open. Since playing with him these kind of ways he doesn’t pick on his brother anymore. Maybe your lil guy would like something interactive like that?

Hi! I know its like 3 months later…

I took your advice and bought some baby stacking cups! My bun doesn’t play with them that much if I don’t put treats in them, but when I put a couple of his pellets or some veggies he goes crazy over getting the cups apart! Thanks!
