Man that is so stressful. I had a foster that had some horrible gas mucous stasis problems and it was so stressful for all of us. So she is pooping OK but not eating on her own? Are her poops normal aside from the mucous?
Is there a timing you notice with the gas? Like a certain amount of time after eating or a certain time of day?
Has the vet done a parasite screening just to rule that out?
Did the ranitidine seem to help?
Gas can also be a consequence of a slow and dehydrated gut. There is a cycle between gas and stasis: gas leads to pain, which leads to stasis, which leads to gas… and so it continues. I just read back through your other post, has her mouth issue resolved?
It can be hard to tell what’s related and what’s not, but underlying sources of pain can cause all sorts of problems.
