I have a 4 month old Netherland dwarf rabbit named Baylor. He used to live with a family that had two cats and a toddler, who antagonized and chased Baylor. He does like to nip me and to thump near me. Do you have any bonding tips? I would greatly appreciate them! ❤️

Is he neutered? Not neutered rabbits tend to be more aggressive, territorial, and overall not that fun to be around. If he is neutered, then my second guess would be that he is just not that ready to open up to another ‘hoomin 😉 ‘ yet because of his last experience. You will get there, but all good and memorable bonds take time. 🙂

Thanks for the advice! He is not neutered yet, but we have a vet appointment scheduled to get him checked out this week. I’ll have to talk to the vet about neutering him. I’ll make sure to spend plenty of time with him so that we can form a loving bond! This morning I let him out for some playtime and got down on his level. He didn’t seem too interested in me and instead explored my room. Maybe next time though😁🐰.

Sounds good. 🙂 One thing I like to do with my buns is play some soft piano, and they LOVE it. You sound like a good friend for your bun, I’m sure you two will get along great.

Yes! I’ve already tried that and he fell fast asleep to it! It definitely  works! That was the first time I’ve seen him flop and it was adorable! He done it 3 times since then. I tried again just a bit ago getting on his level and letting him investigate and this time he jumped on my legs and sat there for a while. It looks like we’re making progress!
