        Hi all,

I’m new to this forum so forgive me if anything I post is in the wrong area. I just have a query about bonding pairs of rabbits.

We have 7 bunnies at the moment, three pairs of two (male and female) all bonded. And a new rescue who we’re slowly trying to bond with our tamest pair.

We live in a flat but the bunnies have the spare room. They have a large hutch each for when it’s play time for one pair, but overall they get most of their time out playing.
They share a communal play area and after years of trial and error and getting used to one another, they share it quite contentedly without a need for marking territory and such.

They’re all neutured and very happy in their pairs, but I wondered if anyone could advise a way of possible bonding the pairs together so that they can all live hutch free? I may be being optimistic but it’s my dream to get rid of the hutches altogether.

The only reason I’m hesitant is that a couple of years ago when we got Smaug, bunny number 4, our current lady of the manor, Phoebe didn’t take too well to her. Phoebe was bonded to two males, and so we tried to bond Smaug with them too, but Phoebe went straight for her and made her scream. The sound still haunts me now…

This was over two years ago but we haven’t put them in the same area together since. Am I being optimistic in thinking they could all maybe be bonded together?

        Thanks,

        Jenna

It sounds like they have a great setup and life!

I don’t have much experience with bonding more then three but I have heard of people doing it. I’m sure someone on this forum will be able to help you out =D
