Hello everyone!
As I was out shopping for pet supplies yesterday, I found this 4 month old black baby rabbit that has been neutered. I didn’t get it yet, because I was unsure if it would be a good thing or not for my rabbit to have a playmate. However since they are both still young I thought it could be a good thing. But my rabbit is not fixed, and I am still unsure of the gender of my rabbit because it is only 3 months old and not able to tell yet. I have tried to look up information, but it all seems to be about adult rabbits and it says they have to both be fixed. I was wondering if you guys could get me any information, my rabbit is very calm tempered, and I thought it having a playmate while I’m at school could be a good thing.
My questions are:
1. Should I adopt the baby rabbit?
2. How should I go about bonding them, and what supplies I will need for the new rabbit? (Such as new cage etc.)
3. Is it okay if my rabbit is of unknown gender, and not fixed because they are both still young and this one is fixed? ( I am unsure if I will be financially able to pay for the fixing of my rabbit, because all the vets near me don’t work with rabbits and are crazy prized $1,000 etc.)
Thank you all so much for your time and help!!!
I want to figure this out today, because that rabbit will surely get taken really quickly with its young age and being fixed.
