Carrots is two years old and spayed, and has been alone all of her life. She did interact with my previous bonded pair through bars during floor time, but she has never actually lived with another rabbit. Wafel is 10 weeks old and too young to be neutered, so for now they can only sniff eachother through the grids that separate their cages. Is there anything I can do before Wafel gets neutered to help the bonding process go smoother?

You can try switching their litter boxes back and forth.

Thank you. They get their toys switched around every few days as well. Is there anything else, or will I just have to wait it out?

That’s pretty much all you can do. Any physical interaction could be dangerous. Best to play it safe and wait for bunnies to have a more positive chance at bonding.
