I thought I was dont with bonding for awhile…..until I met Pepper. She is a 6 month old mini rex who is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. Since she is staying in her own pen, in the livingroom where my 2 boys live (two hotot boys, Spike and Derby), I thought it would be fun to bond them into a trio. Spike and Derby were semi easy to bond (just a few hiccups) so I’ve come into this really excited and confident. Pepper is doing well with the boys…she is curious, but cautious at the same time. Spike will groom her a little, but more so keeps giving her little nips. She gets a little agitated, but not super crazy. Derby seems to think that he can go all humpy pumpy on both of them…and neither of them like it. I pull Derby off and they are calm for a minute or two. I tried food tonight and Spike was more interested in that than bonding. I did pull Derby and Pepper into my lap and they snuggled for quite a few minutes. Overall, it went ok, but I dont think I can say it went well. What I’m thinking is that maybe I should try the boys one at a time with Pepper for a few days. Has anyone else tried that? Have you gotten results from that? I’m thinking that it might be less intimidating for everybun if its one on one time. Please let me know what you think…you all have been such help in the past

Just want to say congrats on your new bunny! I can understand why you couldn’t resist a Mini-Rex. They have the greatest personalities. Not to mention that wonderful plushiness!!

I don’t have any experience with trios but I’m sure TanLover or MD will be along to help you out.
