Hi all,
I have been an avid reader of binkybunny’s forums but a first time poster.
Recently I adopted a pair of ND girls who are already spayed:
1. Luna, female – the dominant one out of the pair, not aggressive
2. Coco, female – very shy
I also have a bonded quartet(2 boys & 2 girls):
1. Fluffy, male, alpha bun – very gentle
2. Dreamy, male – very accepting and grooms everyone in the pack
3. Domino, female – very dominant and aggressive
4. Brownie, female – not very dominant, but aggressive
I tried putting them in a neutral territory for the first time and everything seems fine for the first few minutes(just ignoring each other)…
However, Domino & Brownie started fighting very aggressively.. This continued for the first 2-3 sessions.. After that, Domino & Brownie stopped fighting with each other and has now started to chase and nip the 2 new females, Coco & Luna. Fluffy & Dreamy, however is very loving and accepting of Coco & Luna. They will sometimes snuggle and groom each other, and even share food(all while Domino & Brownie is staring daggers at them or try to chase Coco & Luna)…Fur will fly everywhere but there is no blood or any injury. Domino & Brownie refuses to share food with the other 2 new girls.
I am at loss on what to do with Domino & Brownie’s aggressive behaviours towards Coco & Luna… I have tried stress bonding techniques(filling up water in the tub & using the washing machine) and even then, Brownie will sometimes try to nip Coco & Luna(Brownie is the more aggressive one). I was thinking of bonding Coco & Luna with Fluffy & Dreamy first ..and then introducing Domino & Brownie again… What do you guys think? Really need some advice. Thanks!
