Hello! So i was wondering, for the future is it possible to bond two male buns? And it is better to have buns that are the same age?

Yes, it is possible to bond two male buns – it just takes a little more work. You can theoretically bond any two rabbits but Male-female pairs are the easiest. It doesn’t really matter if the buns are the same age or not, however older buns tend to bond more readily than younger ones. The only thing you’d have to worry about is that if one is much older than the other, then the younger will be a bit depressed when the older one goes away. You can then, of course, bond him to a new bun and keep the happy family cycle going.

It has taken me over 3 months to bond a male-female pair and they’re still just not quite there so it can be a long journey – however, everyone else seems to get it done in about 12 minutes.

It generally is MUCH easier to bond bunnies of the opposite sex. Some boys will bond – it has more to do with personality than age. If one is mellow and doesn’t mind the other being the boss it’s much more likely to work. However, if they both really wish to be dominate it will be a difficult bond.
They would both have to be neutered before even thinking about it, though.

I’m trying to do it now – I don’t recommend it!!!!! It is a few miles south of heaven.
