I currently have two bonded and spayed female rabbits (sisters). Both were adopted from a rescue in early December 2020. They are about a year and a month old now.
The current top bun Chessa has always shown her dominance and there has never been a fight between the two. Tonight, however, both of the bunnies were binking on the bed and having a great time until Anya (sweet girl and used to being the dominated bun) mounted Chessa. I let it unfold in front of me because Chessa completely allowed it, even binking after Anya got off. There still has yet to be a fight or problem with the two so.. is this normal for them to swap like that?

As long as it didn’t lead to a fight, then it’s normal and nothing to worry about. It can be hard to tell which bun is really dominant in a bonded pair, and sometimes you will see swaps with mounting.
