Bonded pair fighting

Came across a little problem that happened out of no where. I have a bonded pair whom seemingly loved each other for the last year and and a half of their life. Always grooming each other, sleeping next to each other, seemingly very happy. The female bunny occasionally nipped and dominated the male bunny when I would feed them, however, this was breif and ONLY when feeding intermittently. Out of no where the male has started to mount, nip, and dominate the female to the point that when they are outside of the cage he chases her. Is this normal? They are both spayed and neutered and have been for almost a year. I feel bad because while the female mounted and nipped the male when eating, it was once and only lasted 5 seconds. The male is usually passive and more gently than the female. Now the male will chase her down outside of the cage and the female runs and hides. It’s very sad. I read that I shouldn’t seperate them. Anything helpful would be great as it’s really sad seeing such a pair of love birds fighting.

I would say it sounds normal but I would wait for someone else to chime in to be sure.
She is not running because of excessive hair being pulled out is she?

Actually they are running and when one runs from the other I do notice a little fur in the other’s mouth :/ It’s been almost a week and they are still having “fights”. When in the cage they cuddle and groom each other. When outside the cage they mount and bite and chase each other. Brand new habbit.

As long as they don’t get hurt, have injuries, I think some bonded buns just do fight. Mine fights couple times a year or so and when it happens, I wake up to a ton of fur on the ground. For the duration of the fight, they actually sleep apart sometimes but then act perfectly normal after the fight.
