Black Bunny Beauties

So the other day I was chatting with Kelly from the rescue who I am Fostering (cough, fail, I think he is staying ) and she mentioned someone had been down to look at adopting a rabbit. When they saw Pascals handsome brother they commented “Oh No, Black buns are ugly”    UGLY ???? WOT ???? I have never heard anything so ridiculous !!!

So here are my two beautiful black bunnies.

I know (and thank you) Pascal is a Silver Fox and Pepper is a Silver Marten, much smaller than Pascal. Pepper is mummy to Nermal Nomnoms, Pipi and Blossom.

Those of us with ‘ugly’ rabbits have to stick together. When I adopted my girl Sooki,a mini-rex, the volunteers at the humane society told me that her nickname was Uglybun. She is the biggest love you have ever met.

Sooki is gorgeous and I think a candidate for the bun napping list. What an absolute sweetie pie !!!!!!

Seriously Nikki? Wow. I was just looking at her pic in the photo thread and thinking how pretty she is.

REW’s and Black rabbits are the most overlooked in shelters. Sad but true.

Yes… I think Pascal might be staying and I think he would be the perfect partner for Nermal. Everyone has to have their spays and neuters first though. As much as I adore baby bunnies I do not want to go through that ever again…….

I don’t understand. How is any bun ugly?! They must not have caught bunny fever yet.
Sadly one of our residents who has been with my rescue the longest is all black. There’s nothing wrong with his personality, he’s a normal happy bun. Does his binkies, minds his business. We fear the only reason he hasn’t been adopted since he is all black. And people being color discriminate. I would say black buns have it just as bad as red eyed white here.

And my foster bunny is super friendly and hasn’t been adopted. I want to keep him but I’m pretty sure him and Bunjamin don’t like each other at all.

Oh my goodness Roberta that kills me! I love black buns! Actually black animals in general. I have only had black cats as pets (my personal pets the family as a collective had other colors). They have a beautiful tan/black bun at our rescue and I am dyinggggggg to get him. But the bf won’t let me. >.<

And then both together!!  They are pretty much twins, they are both from the same litter, and the only difference is Sidney is SLIGHTLY bigger, her head is a tiny bit bigger than Fleurys, and Sidney has a tattoo in her ear.

I really dislike the view a lot of people have on black animals =/ I love them all no matter what color. Black bunnies are gorgeous!! I would just imagine it would sometimes be more difficult to see them in pictures

I have a black cat because an old friend of mine had a cat who had a litter. Only 1 was black and she was giving them away but did not want anyone but me to have the black one because she didn’t want him in a supersticious house. He’s the second black cat I have had.

I have only had black cats growing. I think it is stupid that people judge any animal just by looking.

I don’t get the discrimination either but there’s a lot of things people think that I don’t understand. Black bunnehs, white bunnehs, multicolored bunnehs- they’re all adorable!
