  Lucifer is soon a 2-year old neutered male rabbit and he has picked up a rather annoying habit!
  
  He used to have a sippybottle, but we found out very quickly that he required more water than bottle could provide, so we switched to bowl. After the switch he was the happiest little bun! But, soon enough, he started to pick the water bowl up and throwing it around making a mess and then protesting that his living quarters are all wet and dirty. After a while we bought a bowl that is connected to the cage so he can’t pick it up and/or throw it. Now he just violently bites and pulls on the bowl 2-3 times VERY HARD before drinking. This is every time he goes for a drink. He actually chipped one of his upper tooth doing this..
  
  We have tried to train him not to do that, we have tried changing the water bowls location, we have tried changing the water more often, cleaning his cage, making sure there is always enough hay and food and toys etc.. but nothing seems to calm him down.
  
  Does anyone have more ideas we could try?

  Getting a more weighted water bowl may help, and also considering the lip-height of the bowl may help as well. Rabbits typically like bowls that they do not need to crane their neck into to drink from (like craning in to eat pellets from the bottom of a bowl), so if you get a *slanted* water bowl, this may help because you can fill the water all the way to the lower lip.

  Is it possible he is just very picky and doesnt like where it is placed?

  We have just a normal bowl and we’ve switched the place many times.
  
  Actually we saw a new detail on this behavior. He does it more frequently every time we go to bed. When we are up and around and he’s in his pen, he doesn’t bite it as often. Could it be somekind of separation anxiety..?
