the wee dwarf mix at the shelter i visit passed away on the weekend. when i visited last thrusday she was sneezing, had a discharge from her nose and a runny eye. i know that they had a vet look at her that day after i reported that she didn’t look healthy but they do not disclose what treament if any she received, if she was euthanized or if she passed from her illness. i’m not sure i really want to know. the shelter is a spay / nueter facility but that does not extend to rabbits… just cats and dogs. vet care for rabbits here is so expensive. i really think that this shelter does what they can but i don’t think it’s enough for rabbits. *sigh*
anyways… when i saw bridgette last i saved my cuddles for her that visit (i only pick up one rabbit per visit since i don’t have smocks to change) and i’m so glad. i held her for about 10 mins and she snuggled under my chin

BBM, you posted pix of them the other day and I glommed to Bridgette even before you said you had too.
She was so darling. I said the above exclamation out loud just now when I read your news.
I’m so sorry she’s gone. At least she had a chance to feel your love and comfort.
