I was excited to see that the BB store now carries the HairBuster!!  I seriously love this comb- it is the BEST for bunnies and my shorthaired cats.  It keeps most of the mess to a minimum and really does get the hair out.  I am so in love with this comb and I think I might buy a few extras to stash away.  I have had mine for about 2 years now and one of the bunnies nibbled the end of the “rubber” inset and it has not let go YET.  I wish I would have invented this product.

Best of all the bunnies do not seem to mind it very much- they seem to dislike the Furminator.   The Zoom Groom makes a huge mess- and it is basically made out of “TV remote button” material- so it is a HUGE temptation to Griffin.  Well, it is more like his dream come true for him to find the Zoom Groom while no one is watching him.

I use the Furbuster on Zeus, it’s a knockoff of the Furminator.  It works pretty well, and he doesn’t seem to mind it as long as I pet him while I’m doing it.  I have the x-large one though because I originally bought it for my horse, I kind of wish I had a smaller one!

KatnipCrzy, which hairbuster comb do you have? I know some have recommended the red one but it seems there are several types of red ones.

I have the one that looks like the one carried in the BB store- it came in the same type of packing- the older packaging.  I have not figured out the difference between some of their new combs- long hair dog, etc.  When I bought my HairBuster they had one kind and one kind only.

That’s great news! I have the red one, and Sammy holds still for it completely. She otherwise doesn’t like me touching her sides, but with this comb I can run it down the length of her without a fuss. She also has not had a large shed – ever. I don’t know if this has helped keep her thinned out and silky so she doesn’t need a huge shed, but she got much silkier fur after I started using it.

And if BB’s supplier is the original co. in Massachusetts, well, they’re just nice.
