Binkies for me, Grooming for him?

Hi!

Our Buns treats dh & I differently.  He does binkies for me, and grooms dh. 

Buns will run around with me in the room, back and forth, running and binkying.  When he’s on the bed, he’ll run and jump to his hearts content.  He’ll binky right next to my face, his fur grazing my cheek.  For dh, Buns will groom/lick him whenever dh pets him.  When I pet him however, he moves away, and will rarely lick me.  However, there are times when I pet him (in certain spots in the room) where he will sprawl out, and flatten his head.  When dh pets Buns, he’s just in a ball. 

I’m curious, why the discrepancy?  I am the only one who ‘disciplines’ Buns; I am the one who deters him from chewing the furniture, who moves him back into the pan when he poops, who herds him back into the cage.  Could it be that he is annoyed with me?

Can I assume dh is boyfriend/partner/husband?

Charlie, my man bunny treats my bf so differently to me. He’ll sprawl out next to me and play with me (never ever grooms me though) while he’ll bite and headbutt bf. I think Charlie is fighting to retain alpha bunny position or something similar.
Maybe Buns thinks that he’s above you in the bunny scale but below dh, and therefor must groom him. Dominant bunnies (King Bunny) never grooms only gets groomed…that’s my understanding anyway and my bunnies are pretty true to that model.

Hi Cassi&Charlie, =) yes, dh = darling husband. I picked it up from another board, I thought it sounded sweet lol.

Oic, that makes sense. Argh so I am below everyone huh? lol I was just feeling a bit petty since I do everything for Buns, and dh gets to reap the rewards! Thanks for your explanation.

Rupert likes Dave better then me, Kahlua likes to tease Dave -we definitely get different treatment. Rupert probably (trying to make myself feel better hehe) likes Dave better as Dave always gives lots of treats LOL
