My bunny does scratch its hair off and it has this huge scab or somerhing on the top of its head, ifs like yellowy and its forming upwards, aka its like really thick and i dont want to pull it off or anything but its like 1 cm tall and its very concerning, my hunny doesnt act like anything is weong at all. only a few headshakes and scratches, but ive never seen any pictures of a scab like this or anything. i took it to the vet like last week for a eye infection but the vet said it was just a scab and now its really TALL and not normal scab-looking at all anymore

If it’s yellowly and heightening, it may have gotten infected. I would advise going back to the vet for an assessment.

I agree with Wick. It could be expanding because there’s pus in the original wound. Don’t pull it off, let your vet have a look. Bunny pus is really thick (like toothpaste) and the wound needs to be cleaned out and flushed very thoroughly. Then it can be treated with antibiotics and/or Manuka honey.

If this was an injury, then I agree that this could possibly be an infection/abscess pushing the scab outward.

I would also advise checking if your vet is experienced with rabbits, since they weren’t concerned before. If you let us know what country you’re in, we might be able to help with lists of vets.
