I know a lot of you can spot a fake email straight away, for those of you who don’t there is a very easy way to find out, when you get these, usually the sender sends you an official looking email with a senders email like, ‘bluebutterfliesinfields@computerserver.com’
Another way of telling is when someone emails you and says. ‘Hi I have $3,280,000 I want to give it all to you.’ I’m sure that if you get an email from someone you don’t know and they don’t you either, you would know it is fake.
Another one they try is ‘Dear ‘John Smith’ (Use a common name.) to get your attention, make you think ‘What is this?’ and ‘Who is John?’
Also they might put that a relative has passed away in a faraway country and left you loads of money and his mansion in his will, I keep getting one like this and they use the same name, its being going on for 5 years, he must be getting fed up by now, dying every 4 weeks.
Sometimes they send an email saying it is from a children’s charity and put a picture of a child crying hugging a teddy bear, they ask you if you can spare a bit of money, all charities have a registration number, a registration charity number, if there isn’t one it will be fake, you can check charity numbers online to make sure it is genuine, or call the charity
So be very careful
