We all know about scammers, well yesterday I wasn’t well, another Migraine,my mobile was ringing and then stopped, it rang again I got out of bed and asked who it was, they said they were from my new internet provider and wanted to confirm my bank details with me, not thinking because I had a migraine I read every card number out, then the caller said. “Thank you for your call, we will phone you back in 5 days.” I said. “I didn’t call you, you called me.” Then they said. “Well whatever, thanks for calling 02, have a wonderful day.” I thought, ‘I’m not with 02’ I have had to cancel my bank card, I did it straight away, grr, so if you have a Nan, or granddad or even a mum or dad or sister or brother (Who has memory loss or migraines or anything like that) let them know how crafty these scammers are, if someone is asking for their bank details, tell them to ring back later when someone can give the caller one heck of a telling off.

Yes, you have to be careful. The phishing/scammer phone calls have gotten so bad here. I get several per day. PER DAY. I block the numbers, but they just call back later with a different number. They are all robocalls though. Some of them are just trying to get your voice on a recording saying “yes”. So they robo voice will try to sound like a real person. They will say “Hi, this is so and so from ABC company, can you hear me OK?”. Others will say “Hi, this is so and so from your credit card company” or “your vehicle warranty”. It’s gotten so ridiculous.

Yup, those calls are awful. I have caller ID and if it’s a weird area code, I don’t answer.

Yes, soon as I hung up I called the bank.
